Secure by design
Encrypted with a key only your password can unlock
Your notes are encrypted with AES-CBC 256 using a variable key built from a password you supply combined with random data. Only someone with the password can decrypt the note. We can't read your notes or attachments and neither can anyone who intercepts them.
Turn on client side encryption and the note is locked in your browser before it ever reaches our servers for an additional layer of security. Once a note shreds, it's erased completely.
